FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
1 "An Act establishing the month of June as LGBTQ Pride Month."
2 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
3 * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to article 2 to read:
4 Sec. 44.12.185. LGBTQ Pride Month. The month of June each year is
5 established as LGBTQ Pride Month. LGBTQ Pride Month may be observed by
6 schools, community groups, and other public and private agencies and individuals
7 with appropriate activities to honor and recognize the contributions made by lesbian,
8 gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals in the history of this state and the
9 United States.
