FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 48
2019 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
Sec 1. AS 39.25.120. Partial exempt service. (c) relates to positions in the state service that constitute the partially exempt
service.
HB48 adds a paragraph: (22) persons employed in a professional capacity to make a temporary or special inquiry, study, or
examination as authorized by the governor.
Sec. 2. AS 39.25.110. Exempt service. (9) persons employed in a professional capacity to make a temporary or special
inquiry, study, or examination as authorized by the governor.
This section is being repealed, because it is being moved to Partial Exempt Service.
This bill removes persons who are employed in a professional capacity to make a temporary or special inquiry, study or
examination as authorized by the governor in the exempt services status into the partially exempt service status. Personnel
& Labor does not anticipate any programmatic effects as a result of this legislation and therefore submits a zero fiscal note.
