FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 128
2019 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill amends AS 14.20.010 to require that public schools prominently display the names of all teachers at the school
that have national board certification through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. It places in statute
a legislative goal that at least four percent of public school teachers are nationally certified by 2025. The goal is repealed
July 1, 2026. There is no fiscal impact to the Department of Education and Early Development as a result of this legislation.
