FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 84
2019 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This legislation amends the presumption of compensability for firefighters under AS 23.30.121 to include emergency
medical technicians, paramedics, and peace officers, and to add breast cancer as a covered condition.
The only cost to the department associated with this legislation would result from amending regulations to affect these
changes. The department is able to absorb the costs.
