STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. LL 0117
2019 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill would repeal the Ocean Ranger program as well as the $4 per berth fee imposed on all large commercial
passenger vessels with 250 lower berths or more.
A fund source change from Ocean Ranger fees to the Commercial Passenger Vessel Environmental Compliance Fund is
required to maintain programs related to the impacts of cruise ships on marine waters and coastal resources.
