FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. CSHB 126
2018 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill is intended to cover the organized militia under Department of Military and Veterans Affairs during their training
missions. Currently, they are only covered when called out by the Governor for active state service.
The organized militia has fewer than 100 members and DMVA anticipates 2 days a month for training as well as 4 days a
year for exercises. This limited exposure should add very little, if any, additional risk to the Division of Risk Management's
workers compensation selfinsured program; therefore, the agency submits a zero fiscal note.
