FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB385
2016 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
HB385 directs municipalities to require installation of enhanced 911 systems when system operators upgrade or install
multiline telephone systems unless otherwise provided by ordinance. The bill also requires operators of multiline
telephone systems that are exempt from the enhanced 911 requirement to post prominant instructions explaining how to
reach 911.
The Division of Community and Regional Affairs does not anticipate fiscal impact from this legislation.
