FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. SB 110
2018 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
Currently the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation (DPOR) utilizes Vehicle Rental Tax receipts (VRT) for maintenance
and operations of State Park areas. HB383 redirects VRT to the Alaska tourism marketing fund. To maintain current levels
of operational service in DPOR, a fund source change from Vehicle Rental Tax Receipts to General Fund Receipts would be
required.
