2018 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
   SB 134 amends Alaska Adoption Rules by providing that a petition for involuntary termination of parental rights may be
   filed in a proceeding that is independent from an adoption or a proceeding under AS 47.10. In addition, SB 134 includes
   authority to allow guardian ad litems to be appointed to independent proceedings which involve involuntary termination
   of parental rights.
   There is no fiscal impact to the Office of Children's Services related to SB 134, as written.
