FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 383
2018 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
The department's Northern Region Highways and Aviation component currently utilizes Vehicle Rental Tax (VRT) receipts
for maintenance and operations of its highways and airports. HB 383 redirects VRT to the Alaska tourism marketing fund.
To maintain current levels of service for Northern Region's highways and airports, a fund source change from VRT receipts
to General Fund receipts is required.
