Additionally, the bill appropriates $150,000 from the public school foundation program account to fund the study, which is to be completed by October 1, 2027. The commission must prepare a report detailing its findings, recommendations for improving coordination and efficiency, a fiscal analysis of the proposed options, and any necessary statutory amendments. The appropriation is designated specifically for this study and is not to be used for any other purpose, with any unspent funds reverting as per legal requirements. The act will take effect immediately upon its passage.
