The bill amends the election process for conservation district supervisors in Wyoming, specifically addressing the composition and election of these supervisors. It removes the previous requirement for a specific number of rural and urban supervisors and instead mandates that at least two supervisors elected at large must reside in a rural area and be actively involved in production agriculture. The bill also introduces a new provision that candidates must specify whether they are running for a position related to production agriculture or a general position. All supervisors will serve four-year terms in subsequent elections.

Additionally, the bill defines "production agriculture" as any owner, operator, or tenant of a farm or ranch engaged in the commercial production of food, fiber, crops, or livestock. The changes will apply to elected conservation district supervisors whose terms begin on or after the effective date of July 1, 2026.
