The bill amends Wyoming Statute 23-1-302(h) to grant the game and fish commission the authority to establish limits on the number of landowner licenses available in limited quota hunt areas. This change aims to promote wildlife habitat maintenance and achieve wildlife management objectives. The commission is also required to ensure that at least one landowner license is issued in limited quota areas if there are applications from eligible landowners, thereby preventing the issuance of zero licenses in such areas.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that the fees for these landowner licenses will remain consistent with those prescribed for other hunting licenses under W.S. 23-2-101(j). The effective date for this act is set for July 1, 2026.
