The bill amends the existing law regarding the distribution of revenue from online sports wagering in Wyoming. Specifically, it increases the remittance rate that sports wagering operators must pay to the commission from ten percent (10%) to twenty percent (20%) of their online sports wagering revenue from the previous month. Additionally, it stipulates that the first three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) generated annually from this revenue will be allocated to the department of health to support county health programs aimed at preventing and treating problematic gambling behavior. The remaining funds will be deposited into the state’s general fund.

The effective date for this legislation is set for July 1, 2026. This change is intended to enhance funding for health programs related to gambling while also increasing the overall revenue generated from online sports wagering in the state.
