The bill amends existing laws regarding wildlife conservation license plates in Wyoming by allowing county treasurers to accept applications and payments for these plates, in addition to the department of transportation. It introduces the option for applicants to donate additional funds to support wildlife conservation efforts when applying for the plates. The initial fee for obtaining a wildlife conservation license plate is set at $150, with an annual renewal fee of $50, which is waived in the year the initial fee is paid. The fees collected will be directed to a newly created wildlife conservation account within the state highway fund.

Additionally, the bill removes the requirement that applicants must apply at least thirty days before vehicle registration is needed. It mandates that the Department of Transportation create necessary rules for the implementation of this act. The bill is set to take effect immediately upon completion of legislative processes, with specific provisions in Section 1 becoming effective on July 1, 2025.
