This bill mandates the Wyoming livestock board to initiate memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with other states that receive livestock from Wyoming. These MOUs will outline the identification methods for livestock as specified in W.S. 11-18-117(c). Additionally, the bill requires the Wyoming livestock board to report on the progress of these MOUs to the joint agriculture, state and public lands and water resources interim committee by January 1, 2026, and again by June 30, 2026.

The act is designed to enhance the identification process of Wyoming livestock when delivered to other states and ensure accountability through regular reporting. It will take effect immediately upon the completion of all necessary legislative procedures as outlined in the Wyoming Constitution.
