This bill establishes a new requirement for cities and towns in Wyoming to notify landowners about proposed zoning changes. Specifically, it mandates that notice be sent by mail to all landowners within the zoning district or area affected by the change, as well as to those within one thousand (1,000) feet of the affected area. The term "zoning change" encompasses various actions, including the creation of zoning requirements, conditional use approvals, master plan amendments, zoning assignments, zoning map amendments, and zoning variances.

The provisions of this act will apply to zoning change applications submitted on or after July 1, 2025, and the act itself will take effect on that same date. This legislation aims to enhance transparency and communication between local governments and landowners regarding changes that may impact their properties.
