This bill mandates that cities and towns in Wyoming provide notice to landowners regarding proposed zoning changes. Specifically, it requires that notice be sent by mail to all landowners within the zoning district or area affected by the change, as well as to those within one thousand (1,000) feet of the affected area. The term "zoning change" encompasses various actions, including the establishment of zoning requirements, conditional use approvals, master plan amendments, zoning assignments, zoning map amendments, and zoning variances.
The provisions of this act will apply to zoning change applications submitted on or after July 1, 2025, with the act itself taking effect on that same date. This legislation aims to enhance transparency and communication between local governments and landowners regarding changes that may impact their properties.
