This bill amends the existing law regarding application fees for hunting licenses in Wyoming. It authorizes the game and fish commission to establish application fees for both resident and nonresident license applicants for limited quota drawings for big or trophy game licenses and wild bison licenses. The previous fixed resident application fee of five dollars ($5.00) is replaced with a new structure where application fees will be set by rule, not exceeding twenty dollars ($20.00) for residents and seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for nonresidents.

Additionally, the bill mandates that the game and fish commission promulgate all necessary rules to implement these changes by July 1, 2025. The act will take effect on the same date, with certain sections becoming effective immediately upon the completion of necessary legislative processes. This update aims to provide flexibility in fee setting while ensuring that funds are available for compensating property owners for damages caused by game animals and birds.
