The bill amends Wyoming Statute 9-1-305(a) to allow the Secretary of State to charge a fee for expediting the filing of certain documents. Specifically, a new paragraph (viii) is added, which states that the Secretary of State may charge a maximum fee of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) for expediting the filing of documents filed under Title 17, Title 34, or Title 40, Chapters 1 and 2 of the Wyoming statutes. The process for requesting an expedited filing and the associated fee will be established by the Secretary of State's rules, which will consider the costs involved in both the filing and the expediting process. Importantly, the bill clarifies that expedited filings do not confer any advantages over non-expedited filings regarding the timing of submission.

The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
