The bill amends the existing regulations regarding the maximum permissible length for semitrailers in the state of Wyoming. Specifically, it changes the maximum length of a semitrailer in a truck-tractor, semitrailer, trailer combination or truck-tractor double semitrailer combination from forty-eight (48) feet to fifty-three (53) feet. Additionally, it maintains the maximum length for the trailer or second semitrailer at forty (40) feet and stipulates that the combined length of the semitrailer and trailer or semitrailer cannot exceed eighty-one (81) feet, including connecting mechanisms. For other combinations of vehicles, the overall length limit remains at eighty-five (85) feet.

The bill is set to take effect on July 1, 2024, allowing for the updated regulations to be implemented. This change aims to accommodate larger semitrailers on Wyoming highways while ensuring that overall vehicle lengths remain within specified limits for safety and infrastructure considerations.
