A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to the administration of government;
2 allowing the secretary of state to charge a fee to expedite
3 filings of documents as specified; and providing for an
4 effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 9-1-305(a) by creating a new
9 paragraph (viii) is amended to read:
10

1 (a) The secretary of state shall collect the
2 following fees in advance for:
3
4 (viii) Expediting the filing of any document, a
5 maximum of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00).
6 Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the
7 secretary of state may charge a fee as specified in this
8 paragraph to expedite the filing of any document filed with
9 the secretary of state's office pursuant to any applicable
10 filing requirements upon the request of the filer. The fee
11 and process for requesting an expedited filing shall be
12 established by rule of the secretary of state taking into
13 account the cost of the filing fee and the costs of
14 expediting the filing. The expedition of a filing shall not
15 grant any benefit over a non-expedited filing for purposes
16 of the timing of filing.
