A BILL

1 AN ACT relating to public health and safety; including
2 vulnerable adults within the behavioral health redesign;
3 and providing for an effective date.

5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

7 Section 1. W.S. 35-1-613(a)(xv), as amended by 2021
8 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 79, Section 1, and as that
9 act was amended by 2022 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 31,
10 Section 2, is amended to read:

1 (a) As used in this act:
2
3 (xv) "Adults with severe mental illness" means
4 persons who, based on diagnosis and history, have a
5 substantial probability of being unable to meet their needs
6 for food, shelter and medical care if they do not receive
7 regular mental health treatment or case management. "Adults
8 with severe mental illness" shall include vulnerable adults
9 as defined by W.S. 35-20-102(a)(xviii);

11 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2024.
