A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to firemen pensions; allowing retired
2 firefighters to be rehired while continuing to receive
3 retirement benefits; and providing for an effective date.

5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

7 Section 1. W.S. 15-5-423 is created to read:
8
9 15-5-423. Rehiring a retired member.

1 Rehiring a retired member under this article shall be
2 in accordance with the Wyoming Retirement Act, W.S. 9-3-
3 415(g) through (j).

5 Section 2. W.S. 15-5-204 by creating a new subsection
6 (j) is amended to read:
7
8 15-5-204. Pensions; amounts; qualifications; when
9 paid; disability benefits; disqualifications; examinations;
10 disallowance; actions; adjustment; rehiring.

12 (j) Rehiring a paid fireman retired under this
13 article shall be in accordance with the Wyoming Retirement
14 Act, W.S. 9-3-415(g) through (j).

16 Section 3. This act is effective July 1, 2024.
