A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to volunteer firefighters; authorizing the
2 state fire marshal and the department of workforce services
3 to produce a film related to the recruitment of volunteer
4 firefighters; providing an appropriation; and providing for
5 an effective date.

7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

9 Section 1. The Wyoming state fire marshal shall
10 coordinate with the director of the department of workforce
11 services, any other applicable state agency and persons
12 associated with volunteer firefighting to create a film

1 targeted at the recruitment of volunteer firefighters
2 within the state of Wyoming. The film shall be not more
3 than twenty (20) minutes long and shall be made available
4 to the public upon its completion. The state fire marshal
5 is authorized to contract with a public relations firm to
6 assist in creating the film.

8 Section 2. There is appropriated XXX (XXX) from the
9 general fund to the state fire marshal for purposes of
10 creating the film specified by this act, including the
11 hiring of a public relations firm if necessary. This
12 appropriation shall be for the period beginning July 1,
13 2024 and ending June 30, 2026. This appropriation shall not
14 be transferred or expended for any other purpose and any
15 unexpended, unobligated funds remaining from this
16 appropriation on June 30, 2026 shall revert as provided by
17 law.

19 Section 3. This act is effective July 1, 2024.
