A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to state lands; authorizing additional
2 employees funded through the Wyoming state forestry good
3 neighbor authority revolving account; and providing for an
4 effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 36-1-503(b) is amended to read:

10 36-1-503. Powers and duties of state forester.

1 (b) The state forester may hire additional employees
2 as necessary to conduct good neighbor authority projects or
3 other federally funded cooperative forest management
4 projects funded through the account. Employees hired under
5 this subsection shall be funded using federal funds
6 deposited in the account. The state forester shall not fill
7 more than one (1) full-time employee position and four (4)
8 ten (10) at-will employee contract positions under this
9 subsection.

11 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2024.
