A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to public utilities; limiting the recovery
2 of costs for wind and solar power electric generation
3 facilities built after a specified date; providing a sunset
4 date; and providing for an effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 37-3-119 is created to read:

10 37-3-119. Limitation for recovery of costs for wind
11 and solar electric generation facilities; sunset date.

1 Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the
2 rates charged by an electric public utility shall not
3 include any recovery of or earnings on the capital costs
4 associated with wind or solar electric power generation
5 facilities built on or after July 1, 2024. This section is
6 repealed July 1, 2025.

8 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2024.
