This bill amends the existing law regarding the civil service commission in cities and towns in Wyoming. It authorizes the city clerk to appoint a designee to serve as the ex officio clerk of the civil service commission within the municipality. The language in the law is updated to reflect that the city clerk "or the clerk's designee shall serve as" the ex officio clerk, replacing the previous wording that stated the city clerk "is" the ex officio clerk. Additionally, the term "commissions" is changed to "commission" to ensure consistency in the language.

The bill also outlines that the governing body is responsible for providing necessary resources for the commission, including office supplies and expenses incurred prior to the adoption of the next budget. The effective date for this act is set for July 1, 2023.
