A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to education; modifying duties of school
2 district boards of trustees to require access to a minimum
3 of twelve (12) post secondary credit hours for high school
4 students as specified; and providing for an effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 21-20-201(h) is amended to read:
9
10 21-20-201. Agreement between districts and
11 post-secondary education institutions required; student
12 participation; credits; financial arrangements;
13 transportation; accessibility; required annual reporting.

1 (h) Each school district board of trustees shall in
2 conjunction with the University of Wyoming, community
3 college district boards of trustees or other post secondary
4 education institutions accredited by recognized and
5 accepted accrediting agencies, make post secondary
6 education options programs pursuant to this section
7 reasonably accessible to eligible students to the greatest
8 extent reasonably possible, which shall include ensuring
9 access to a minimum of twelve (12) post secondary credit
10 hours to be completed in grades nine (9) through twelve
11 (12).

13 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2023.
