A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to the publication of legal notices;
2 requiring legal notices that are required to be published
3 in newspapers to also be published on a statewide website
4 and on the newspaper's website; and providing for an
5 effective date.

7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

9 Section 1. W.S. 18-3-519 by creating a new subsection
10 (c) is amended to read:
11
12 18-3-519. Requirements as to newspaper publishing
13 legal notices; website publication of legal notices.

1 (c) When a legal notice is required under this
2 section to be published in a newspaper, the newspaper
3 publishing the legal notice shall also publish the legal
4 notice on a statewide website established and maintained by
5 an organization representing a majority of Wyoming
6 newspapers as a digital repository for all legal notices
7 and on a website maintained by the newspaper in a location
8 on the website open and free to the public at no additional
9 cost to the person publishing the legal notice.

11 Section 2. This act is effective immediately upon
12 completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law
13 as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming
14 Constitution.
