A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to taxation and revenue; clarifying that
2 apiculture is an agricultural purpose for tax purposes;
3 making conforming amendments; and providing for an
4 effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 39-13-101(a)(viii)(intro), (A)
9 through (C) and by creating a new subparagraph (E) is
10 amended to read:

12 39-13-101. Definitions.

14 (a) As used in this article:

1 (viii) "Agricultural purpose," as used in W.S.
2 39-13-103(b)(x), means any of the following land uses when
3 conducted consistent with the land's capability to produce
4 or when supporting the land's capability to produce:
5
6 (A) Cultivation of the soil for production
7 of crops; or
8
9 (B) Production of timber products or
10 grasses for forage; or
11
12 (C) Rearing, feeding, grazing or management
13 of livestock; or
14
15 (E) Apiculture.

17 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2023.
