This bill amends the Code of West Virginia to allow tow trucks and wreckers to use one or more flashing or revolving blue lights in addition to the already permitted flashing or revolving yellow lights. The new provision specifies that the blue lights must be installed on the rear of the vehicle and can only be activated when the tow truck is stationary on the side of the road or highway while responding to a disabled vehicle. Importantly, the bill prohibits the operation of blue lights while the tow truck is in motion.
