This bill amends the Code of West Virginia to authorize the Division of Motor Vehicles to issue special registration plates specifically for autism awareness. The new provisions include the ability for the division to design and issue these plates upon appropriate application from qualified applicants. Additionally, a special one-time initial application fee of $10 will be charged, along with an annual fee of $15 for each plate, which will be deposited into the State Road Fund.

It specifies that registration plates issued by the division must incorporate reflectorized material and be readable from 100 feet during daylight. Furthermore, it updates the language regarding the suspension of registration for displaying damaged or illegible plates and allows for the acceptance of electronic signatures in compliance with the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act.
