This bill amends and reenacts section 64-9-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, to authorize the Board of Pharmacy to promulgate a legislative rule concerning immunizations administered by pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and pharmacy technicians. The legislative rule in question was initially filed in the State Register on July 24, 2025, and subsequently modified to address the concerns of the Legislative Rule-Making Review Committee before being refiled on October 22, 2025.

The primary purpose of this bill is to formalize the authority of the Board of Pharmacy to implement regulations regarding the administration of immunizations by pharmacy professionals, thereby enhancing public health services provided by pharmacies in West Virginia. The bill does not include any deletions from current law, as the section being amended is new.
