This bill proposes amendments to the individual gaming restrictions outlined in the Code of West Virginia, specifically in section 29-25-24. It allows individuals to enter or remain in designated gaming areas if they meet certain criteria, including being a registered overnight guest at the historic resort hotel where the gaming facility is located, a registered participant at a convention or event at the hotel, or a member of a homeowner or facility association with privileges at the hotel. Notably, the bill removes the previous stipulation that this provision does not apply on days when fewer than four hundred guest rooms are occupied at the hotel.

Additionally, the bill updates the age requirement for individuals entering gaming areas from "twenty-one years of age" to "21 years old." It maintains other restrictions, such as prohibiting visibly intoxicated individuals and those deemed unruly or disruptive from entering the gaming facility. Furthermore, it reinforces that employees of the commission and their immediate households, as well as licensed limited gaming facility employees, are not permitted to wager at the gaming facility.
