SENATE RESOLUTION 206(By Senators Azinger, Barrett, Boley, Caputo, Chapman, Clements, Deeds, Grady, Hamilton, Hunt, Jeffries, Karnes, Maroney, Martin, Maynard, Nelson, Oliverio, Phillips, Plymale, Queen, Roberts, Rucker, Smith, Stover, Stuart, Swope, Takubo, Tarr, Taylor, Trump, Weld, Woelfel, and Woodrum)[Introduced October 7, 2024] Recognizing the dedicated public service of the Honorable Craig Philip Blair.Whereas, The Honorable Craig Philip Blair was born October 17, 1959, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Freddie L. and Jeanette Blair; andWhereas, The Honorable Craig Philip Blair received his education from Hedgesville High School and the James Rumsey Vocational Technical Center for the following: Industrial and Residential Electricity; Air Conditioning; and Machine Trades; andWhereas, The Honorable Craig Philip Blair was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in 2002, and served four terms; andWhereas, The Honorable Craig Philip Blair was elected to the West Virginia Senate in 2012, and served three terms; andWhereas, The Honorable Craig Philip Blair, during his tenure in the Senate, served as Chair, Committee on Finance, 83rd and 84th Legislatures; Vice Chair, Committee on Education, 84th Legislature; Majority Whip, 83rd Legislature; Chair, Committee on Government Organization, 82nd and 83rd Legislatures; andWhereas, The Honorable Craig Philip Blair was elected as the 53rd President of the Senate on January 13, 2021, an office he held during the 85th and 86th Legislatures; therefore, be itResolved by the Senate:That the Senate hereby recognizes the dedicated public service of the Honorable Craig Philip Blair; and, be itFurther Resolved, That the Senate extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Honorable Craig Philip Blair for his dedication and commitment to serving the citizens of West Virginia; and, be itFurther Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Craig Philip Blair.
