1 A BILL to amend and reenact §64-6-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to
2 authorizing the Governor's Committee on Crime, Delinquency, and Correction to
3 promulgate a legislative rule relating to law enforcement training and certification
4 standards.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
ARTICLE 6. AUTHORIZATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY TO
PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-6-1. Governor's Committee on Crime, Delinquency, and Correction.
1 The legislative rule filed in the State Register on July 26, 2023, authorized under the
2 authority of §30-29-3 of this code, modified by the Governor's Committee on Crime, Delinquency,
3 and Correction to meet the objections of the Legislative Rule-Making Review Committee and
4 refiled in the State Register on October 4, 2023, relating to the Governor's Committee on Crime,
5 Delinquency, and Correction (law enforcement training and certification standards, 149 CSR 02),
6 is authorized.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Governor's Committee on Crime,
Delinquency, and Correction to promulgate a legislative rule relating to law enforcement training and certification standards.
