1 A BILL to amend and reenact §64-6-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to
2 authorizing the State Fire Commission to promulgate a legislative rule relating to
3 certification of fire chiefs.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
ARTICLE 6. AUTHORIZATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY TO
PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-6-1. State Fire Commission.
1 The legislative rule filed in the State Register on July 26, 2023, authorized under the
2 authority of §15A-11-8 of this code, modified by the State Fire Commission to meet the objections
3 of the Legislative Rule-Making Review Committee and refiled in the State Register on September
4 26, 2023, relating to the State Fire Commission (certification of fire chiefs, 87 CSR 13), is
5 authorized.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the State Fire Commission to promulgate a legislative rule relating to certification of fire chiefs.
