1 A BILL supplementing, amending and increasing existing items of appropriation from the State
2 Road Fund to the Department of Transportation, Division of Highways, fund 9017, fiscal
3 year 2024, organization 0803, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
1 WHEREAS, The Governor submitted to the Legislature the Executive Budget document,
2 dated January 11, 2023, which included a Statement of the State Road Fund, setting forth therein
3 the cash balance as of July 1, 2022, and further included an estimate of revenues for the fiscal
4 year 2024, less net appropriation balances forwarded and regular appropriations for the fiscal
5 years 2024; and
6 WHEREAS, The Governor submitted to the Legislature an Executive Message dated
7 August 6, 2023, which includes a revised Statement of the State Road Fund; and
8 WHEREAS, It appears from the Statement of the State Road Fund there remains an
9 unappropriated balance in the State Treasury which is available for appropriation during the fiscal
10 year ending June 30, 2024; therefore Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
1 That the total appropriation for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, to fund 9017, fiscal
2 year 2024, organization 0803, be supplemented and amended by increasing existing items of
3 appropriation as follows:

NOTE: The purpose of supplemental appropriation bill is to supplement, amend and increase existing items of appropriation in the aforesaid account for the designated spending unit for expenditure during the fiscal year 2024.
