The 2025 Assembly Joint Resolution 116 congratulates the Greendale High School Marching Band for achieving an impressive milestone by winning the Wisconsin School Music Association State Marching Band Championship for the 20th consecutive year. The band, under the direction of Tom Reifenberg, showcased their performance of "Snow Angel," which included music from Disney's Frozen II, Beyoncé, and Frank Ticheli's "Angels in the Architecture." Their outstanding performance earned them the highest score across all classes at the championship, along with awards for Best Music, Best Visuals, and Best Percussion.
In addition to their state championship success, the resolution highlights the band's upcoming participation in the Bands of America Grand National Championships in Indianapolis and their unique distinction of being the first high school band to perform twice in both the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Tournament of Roses Parade within a decade. With nearly 200 students involved, representing about 20% of the student body, the Greendale High School Marching Band not only excels in music but also actively engages in community service through fundraising efforts.
