1 To create assembly rule 14 (4); relating to: order of testimony at public hearings.

The resolution amends the assembly rules to provide that testimony at any
public hearing must be received in the following order: if the public hearing is on a
proposal, the author or authors of the proposal; members of the public and local
government officials; and state government officials and individuals registered as
lobbyists.
2 Resolved by the assembly, That:
3 SECTION 1. Assembly rule 14 (4) is created to read:
4 ASSEMBLY RULE 14 (4) Testimony at any public hearing shall be received in the
5 following order:
6 (a) If the public hearing is on a proposal, the author or authors of the proposal.
7 (b) Members of the public and local government officials. If any member is
8 accompanied by an individual registered as a lobbyist, the member shall speak
9 before the lobbyist.
