1 AN ACT to create 23.0925 of the statutes; relating to: Department of Natural
2 Resources habitat work plan.

This bill requires the Department of Natural Resources to create a biennial
work plan that establishes priorities and goals for habitat work on lands managed
by DNR and measures progress on established priorities and goals. DNR must
annually report its progress under the work plan to the Natural Resources Board.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
3 SECTION 1. 23.0925 of the statutes is created to read:
4 23.0925 Habitat work plan. The department shall prepare a biennial work
5 plan that coincides with the biennial state budget process. The plan shall establish
6 priorities and goals for habitat work on lands managed by the department and
7 measure progress on established priorities and goals. The department shall
