1 Relating to: providing for an advisory referendum on the question of requiring
2 revocation of release if a person on parole, extended supervision, or probation
3 is charged with a crime.

This joint resolution calls for an advisory referendum on the question of
requiring the Department of Corrections to recommend revoking the release of a
person who is on extended supervision, parole, or probation if the person is charged
with a crime while on that release. The referendum is to be held at the next spring
or general election occurring not sooner than 45 days after adoption of the resolution.
4 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the following
5 question be submitted, for advisory purposes only, to the voters of this state at the
6 next spring or general election occurring not sooner than 45 days after adoption of
7 this resolution:
8 QUESTION 1: Requiring revocation of release if the person is charged
9 with a crime. “Should the Department of Corrections be required to recommend
