The Washington state legislature has adopted a resolution to honor the Apple Blossom Festival, the oldest major festival in the state, which has been celebrated since 1919 and attracts over 100,000 attendees annually. The festival aims to provide a family-oriented event that highlights the community's people, heritage, and fruit industry. As part of the festival, three young women are selected to represent the event as queen and princesses. This year, Brielle Precht was crowned queen, with Kaylee Pearsons and Parker Averi serving as princesses.
The resolution recognizes the outstanding achievements of the royal court members in their academic, athletic, and community service endeavors. Brielle Precht, a student at Eastmont High School and Wenatchee Valley College, aspires to become an ER nurse and develop an app for children with type 1 diabetes. Kaylee Pearsons, also from Eastmont High School, is involved in various leadership roles and plans to study neuroscience at Gonzaga University. Parker Averi, a student at Wenatchee High School, is a dedicated athlete and leader, intending to pursue fish and ecology conservation at Montana State University. The resolution concludes by directing the Secretary of the Senate to send copies to the royal court members and festival organizers.
