This bill establishes new initiatives aimed at improving awareness and resources related to endometriosis in Washington State. Starting July 1, 2027, the University of Washington, in collaboration with Washington State University and other stakeholders, is tasked with creating an online resource center that will provide comprehensive information on endometriosis. This resource will include best practices for detection, diagnosis, and care, as well as communication strategies for healthcare professionals. The center is required to be updated every three years and will hold stakeholder meetings to ensure the materials remain relevant. This section of the bill is set to expire on December 31, 2031.

Additionally, the bill mandates that the office of the superintendent of public instruction include information on menstrual health in the state's health and physical education learning standards. This will help differentiate between typical menstrual discomfort and severe symptoms that may indicate conditions like endometriosis. This provision is set to expire on June 30, 2029.
