The Washington State Legislature has adopted a resolution to honor the Apple Blossom Festival, the oldest major festival in the state, which has been celebrated since 1920 and attracts over 100,000 attendees annually. The festival aims to provide a family-oriented event that highlights the community's people, heritage, and fruit industry. As part of the festival, three young women are selected to represent the royal court, with Ella Johnson named queen and Daeja Carlson and Yasmin Perez as princesses.

The resolution recognizes the achievements of the royal court members, highlighting their academic excellence, community involvement, and aspirations. Ella Johnson, a student at The River Academy, is involved in various leadership roles and plans to pursue a double major in history and economics. Daeja Carlson, a student at Wenatchee High School and Wenatchee Valley College, is active in multiple clubs and aims for a career in neuroscience. Yasmin Perez, a student at Eastmont High School and Wenatchee Valley College, is dedicated to her studies and aspires to enter the medical field. The resolution concludes by directing the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies to the royal court members and festival organizers.
