The Washington State House of Representatives has passed a resolution to recognize the outstanding achievements of the Columbia River High School Girls Tennis Team, which demonstrated remarkable persistence and athletic skill by winning the state team title. The resolution highlights individual accomplishments, including Emma Lungwitz's victory in the 2A singles district title match and her recognition as the 2A Greater St. Helens League singles player of the year, as well as Jenny Serebriakova's fourth-place finish in the singles quarterfinals. Additionally, doubles teammates Annie Morgan and Sydney Dreves earned second place in the state finals and were named the doubles team of the year, while Shaylin Murphy and Annabelle Madrigal were recognized as first team 2A Greater St. Helens League doubles players.
The resolution also honors Coach Kevin Erickson for his dedication to the team and his recognition as coach of the year by the 2A Greater St. Helens League. The House of Representatives congratulates the entire team, Coach Erickson, their supporters, and the Vancouver community for their collective achievement in the state tennis championship. Copies of the resolution will be distributed to the team and Coach Erickson to commemorate this significant accomplishment.
