This bill proposes adjustments to the service and filing fees associated with vehicle registrations and title transactions in Washington State. Specifically, it amends RCW 46.17.040 to increase the service fee for changes in a certificate of title and ownership for nontitled vehicles from $15 to $18, and for registration renewals and other services from $8 to $11. Additionally, it amends RCW 46.17.005 to raise the filing fee for vehicle registration applications from $4.50 to $6 and for certificate of title applications from $5.50 to $6.50. The fees collected will be credited to the capital vessel replacement account.

The new provisions will take effect for registrations and title transactions that are due or processed on or after January 1, 2026. This bill aims to update the fee structure to better reflect current costs and ensure adequate funding for related services.
