This bill aims to consolidate various dedicated accounts for professional licenses into the business and professions account, as outlined in RCW 43.24.150. It amends the existing law to include additional chapters related to various professions, such as architects, embalmers, landscape architects, and real estate appraisers, among others. The bill also introduces a requirement for the director to provide quarterly reports detailing revenues and expenditures for each chapter authorized to use the business and professions account. Additionally, it repeals several existing accounts related to specific professions, including those for architects, funeral and cemetery services, and appraisal management companies.

Furthermore, the bill mandates that any residual funds remaining in the repealed accounts as of December 31, 2025, will be transferred to the business and professions account by February 28, 2026. This consolidation is intended to streamline the management of funds related to professional licensing and ensure that the resources are utilized effectively for the administration of these activities. The act is set to take effect on January 1, 2026.
