This bill proposes the transfer of dedicated accounts for various professional licenses into the business and professions account, as outlined in RCW 43.24.150. It amends the existing law to include new chapters related to professional licensing, such as architects, auctioneers, cosmetologists, embalmers, landscape architects, and several others, while deleting references to specific dedicated accounts for these professions. The bill also repeals several existing statutes that established separate accounts for architects, funeral and cemetery services, landscape architects, real estate appraisers, geologists, and appraisal management companies.

Additionally, the bill mandates that any residual funds remaining in the aforementioned dedicated accounts as of December 31, 2025, will be transferred to the business and professions account by February 28, 2026. The act is set to take effect on January 1, 2026. This consolidation aims to streamline the management of funds related to professional licensing and ensure that the resources are utilized effectively for the administration of these licensing activities.
