HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2024-4690, by Representatives Goehner and Steele
1 WHEREAS, The Washington state House of Representatives recognize
2 excellence in all fields and endeavors; and
3 WHEREAS, The Manson High School volleyball team has made history
4 by not only winning the 2023 2B state volleyball championships for
5 the first time, but also winning the school's first ever state
6 championship of any sport in school history; and
7 WHEREAS, The team had a perfect season as they ended the year
8 unbeaten with a record of 24 to 0; and
9 WHEREAS, After a slow start in the opening of the final four, the
10 Manson Trojans were able to bounce back and defeat the Colfax
11 Bulldogs, earning them the opportunity to play for the state title,
12 which they ended up winning after defeating Lind-Ritzville-Sprague in
13 a 3 to 0 match; and
14 WHEREAS, These athletes all have standout talent on the court;
15 and
16 WHEREAS, A great team must have a great staff around it, and Head
17 Coach Hayli Thompson, the assistant coaching staff, Principal Kami
18 Kronbauer, and all the other staff at Manson High School that help
19 these girls are crucial to their successes;
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives
21 congratulate the Manson High School volleyball team on their state
22 championship, and their fans, supportive alumni, and the entire
23 community for this phenomenal achievement.
